Since ancient times, the Syr Darya river basin has been one of the most favorable places for human habitation. The proof of which are the numerous ruins of ancient settlements and cemeteries located along the Syr Darya. To date, archeological monuments located in this region have been little studied.
The article discusses the results of archaeological excavations carried out in 2017 at the Myntobe burial ground, touches on the distribution area of the Zhetiasar, Otrar-Karatau and Kauchinsk cultures and their features. The dating of the Myntobe monument is also determined. The issues of protection, propaganda and inclusion in the scientific circulation of the results of the study of the monument were considered.
