The article highlights the problem of music in periodicals of the colonial period, in the Alash press in Soviet Kazakhstan, analyzes in detail the role of the "Rukhani Zhangyru" process in the era of independence in the modernization of historical consciousness. In addition, the author, who used in abundance the materials of newspapers and magazines from the archives of "Turkestan Vedomosti", "Ak Zhol", "Sholpan", etc., tried to reveal the topic as much as possible.

The issues of popularization of national values, which are the main support of "Rukhani Zhangyru", the basis of the idea of "Mangilik El", the scientific positive assessment of the views of the Alash press on the national musical art, the importance of rethinking some moments of our history in the formation of a competitive united nation, the influence of this branch of science on the younger generation in the formation of independence, raising the spirit of the nation, have not been ignored.
