Earlier in the twentieth century, the study of the heritage of al-Farabi and Abay was conducted primarily within the framework of the Marxist paradigm and methodology. On may 30, 2019, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. K. Tokayev signed a decree on the celebration of the 175 th anniversary of the birth of the great Abai, whose works continue to be modern and relevant in the XXI century. The article is devoted to the study of the heritage of the two giants Farabi and Abai. The historical harmony of their teachings was studied and the continuity of their work was evaluated. From the point of view of the national idea of the value of works, the Testaments of al-Farabi and Abai are analyzed from the present day. The main purpose of this article is to systematically and in-depth study of the sources of formation of historical views of al-Farabi and Abay as a great humanist, democratic scientist, as well as the features of historicism of creative thinkers.
