Abstract

Social-economic consequences of Orda region, West Kazakhstan, in 1952 transforming into the Kapustin Yar military test range have been scientifically examined in some papers published as a part of programs such as «Modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity» and «Motherland». It is believed that the USSR authority kept secret some information related to a military test range. The author scientifically analyzes some historical data, manuscripts and periodical publications stored in the state archive of West Kazakhstan region and the regional library. Also, the author discusses about the Kazakh people who forcefully deported from Orda region to the Southern Kazakhstan and other parts of republic because of the military testing range. The article reveals some social-economic consequences of the mass forceful deportation of the Kazakh people
