The article analyzes issues related to the importance and scope of the interactive learning gamification tool in history teaching. Gamification is an interactive technology aimed at increasing the educational activity of students, stimulating cognitive interest. The main educational potential of gamification is the introduction of game elements into the educational process, the assimilation of data and, thus, the achievement of the goal. Popular digital tools, mobile apps, and content can be used to achieve this goal, and it pays off. This became known as a result of a survey of students. The results of the research conducted on determining the level of knowledge of schoolchildren about gamification, the advantages of using gamification in teaching history and its positive impact on improving the quality of students' education will be presented. In addition, an analysis of scientific findings and views of domestic and foreign researchers on gamification will be conducted. The main methods used were the analysis of scientific and pedagogical works, a survey, an experimental study, a comparative analysis of the method of observation and historical research. As a result, the advantages and didactic features of the introduction and use of game elements in history teaching have been scientifically proven. The article presents aspects and rules and practical results of using the gamification tool in teaching history at school.
