Abstract

This article discusses the formation of students ' knowledge, skills and values in history in the process of teaching. The importance of teaching the subject of history through a wide range of skills and historical thinking skills of the XXI century, historical concepts and lessons of historical events and personalities are considered. In today's school, it is important to form key competencies that will be the basis for the upbringing of the younger generation, strengthen national interests to strengthen human dignity, lead a healthy lifestyle with a clear conscience, meet the requirements of the times. «It is necessary to organize educational work through the values of national interests, conscience, requirements» -this is stated in the Unified educational program of our state.

The works of historical figures play a special role in the transfer of values. In the twentieth century, the study of the heritage of Al-Farabi and Abai was carried out primarily within the framework of the Marxist paradigm and methodology. We all know that their works remain modern and relevant even in the XXI century. The article deals with the study of the two giants Farabi and Abaydai in unity. The historical harmony of their teachings was studied and the continuity of their works was assessed.  From the point of view of the National idea, the values of his works, the commandments of Al-Farabi and Abai were analyzed in connection with the present day.
