The article is devoted to the collection and systematization of the cultural heritage of the Kazakh intelligentsia of the Turkestan region. The activities of the Turkestan intelligentsia in the formation of the National Press, the modernization of the traditional education system and the preservation and modernization of historical and cultural heritage are analyze don a factual basis. The activities of national publications up to the newspaper «Turkestan ualayaty» Gazeta «AкZhol» a reevaluated as a fact or forming a national idea. The works of Representatives of the National intelligentsia M. Sultankozhauly, S. Lapin, K. Kozhikov, K. Tоgusov, M. Shokai, N. Torekulov, S. Kozhanov, M. Dulatov and others formed by intellectuals in their cultural activities in the Turkestan region are analyzed. S. Lapin's works in the field of Oriental Studies and Turkology, K. Kozhykov's zhadite alphabet, works of o ther authors in various genres played a significant role in the revival of cultural life in the region. The article makes a number of conclusions about the contribution of the cultural heritage of the Turkestan intelligentsia to the spirituality of the nation. We believe that it is necessary to analyze the activities of the Kazakh intelligentsia in scientific research at the beginning of the twentieth century on a scientific basis and reveal aspects that have not yet been studied. Thanks to the Kazakh intelligentsia, the work of people who played a special role in the development of science in the Turkestan region should be appreciated. The article was considered from a new point of view, guided by the research of intellectuals who served in the Turkestan region.
