One of the tragic themes of Soviet history is the deportation of peoples of the 1930s and 1940s. The nations subjected to deportation faced various social and legal oppressions. A number of nationalities for many years belonged to the group of the second category and became victims of Stalinist repressions. One of these nationalities is considered to be the Greeks. This article examines the historical, social and legal aspects of the ordinary life of the Greeks deported to the southern region of Kazakhstan in the 1930s and 1940s. At the same time, we attached great importance to considering the situation of the Greeks from the point of view of the history of everyday life. The history of deportation has recently become increasingly important in historical science. By studying the image of the social and everyday life of the deported peoples, we achieve an assessment of the course of development of an integral social situation. Giving a historical assessment of the difficult times of the Greeks in Kazakhstan, we delve into its significance as a great lesson in strengthening interethnic relations. Because in this era, the Kazakh and Greek nations were able to show a vivid example of peace and mutual friendship. With the help of scientific analysis of the process of daily life of the deported peoples, we can identify its features and problematic moments. The life of the Greeks becomes a great example in this direction. The main relevance of the study of this topic is due to the interpretation of the political and ideological mistakes of the Stalinist government.
