This article analyzes and evaluates the socio - political activities of Saparbekov Sadykbek, known as one of the first party secretaries of the West Kazakhstan region, based on archival materials. The article is also devoted to the development of new concepts on methodological issues of personal direction in native historical science. The main purpose of conducting a scientific search on the topic is to analyze the socio-political activities of Sadykbek Saparbekov, one of the prominent representatives of the national personality for the formation of an independent historical consciousness. Conclusions were made about the scientific evaluation of the individual in the national history, the activities of the National-state interest. Then, the Criteria for evaluating the activity of a historical person formulated in the article can be used in updating the content of history, in research works, and in the content of special disciplines
