Abstract

The article reveals the contribution of A. Baitursynuly to the work on the preparation of school textbooks in the Kazakh language at the beginning of the twentieth century. After the October Revolution, the power of the Bolsheviks was established in Kazakhstan, and all layers of society underwent radical changes. Serious changes have affected the field of education. A new training system based on secular educational programs has been implemented. One of the things that prevented the full implementation of work in this direction was due to the lack of textbooks that meet modern requirements. After the Civil War, the Alash intelligentsia joined the ranks of the вolsheviks. The Bolsheviks, in turn, used the potential of national figures in this direction. A. Baitursynovuly was appointed People's Commissar of Education. Since this year, the work on writing school textbooks in the Kazakh language has been carried out according to a systematic plan.

A. Baitursynuly wrote several textbooks on linguistics. In addition, in accordance with the new order, he regulated the sphere of education. National figures were organized in schools to write textbooks in the Kazakh language. The work in this direction has been fruitful. Within a few years, textbooks on linguistics, mathematics, natural sciences, history, physics, geography and many other subjects were published.
