Abstract

The search for the sources of Kazakh people ethno-formation is extremely complicated and closely connected with the study of the antiquity of Kazakhstan, as well as adjacent territories, the inhabitants of which participated in the vast ethnogenetic processes of Eurasia.
An anthropological study of the Kazakhs was begun in the 80s of the XIX century, which was associated with an increased interest in the outskirts of Russia.
Ethnogenesis of the Kazakh people was dealt with by such prominent researchers as O.Ismagulov, N.L. Zeland, N.G. Georgi, A.N. Kharuzin, V.V. Ginzburg, O.Ismagulov, Ismagulova A.O., Sikhymbaeva K.B and others.
Large-scale complex anthropological studies of modern Kazakhs contain quite informative information that fully complies with the data of interdisciplinary research in developing problems of ethnogenesis, and all this, taken together, irrefutably demonstrates the common genetic process and ways of forming the ethnocultural basis of the ancient and modern population of Kazakhstan.
