A deeper knowledge of the outstanding personalities of our nation in the history of the country, the desire for real disclosure of the essence of their activities and moral ways of life, propaganda for the younger generation of their rich creative heritage, as well as for consideration as a support in the
development of the state, which has entered the path of spiritual revival – a requirement of the time. The great poet of the Kazakhs-the son of the great steppe Abay is also included in the category of revered persons of the nation. In our article, emphasizing that the knowledge of Abay is the knowledge of the Kazakh people, we chose a topic that is in some sense not fully studied in the study of the Teacher of the nation. This can be seen in the media of Soviet Kazakhstan, especially in the authoritative edition of the national press of 1920-1926 in the newspaper "AK Zhol". Therefore, in our short article, we tried not to dwell on Abay's narvestvennoy life and work, but to formulate historical analyses about the poet in a new way in the materials of this newspaper using its archive fund.
