In this publication, which consists of two parts, we will focus on the reconstruction of the natural and climatic conditions of the first half of the Holocene on the territory of the Turgai trough.
It became possible to draw up a certain idea of the paleoclimatic conditions in this region based on the results of spore-pollen analysis of the peatlands in Kostanai region as well as recent reconstructions of climate and the environment of the Holocene era in adjacent regions.
The first part of the publication presents the research results of the peatlands in the Kostanay region and in adjacent regions. In the context of the paleoclimatic conditions of the first half of the Holocene on the territory of the Turgai trough, the issue of stratigraphy of archaeological monuments of the Turgai trough has been raised.
