«ON THE WAVE OF HISTORY»

Abstract

The book of N.A. Nazarbayev «On the wave of history» is an invaluable work that has given Kazakhstanis, especially the younger generation, to study the deep history, mentality and culture of the Kazakh people. Reflecting on historical documents and facts, the author analyzes national history and culture from the point of view of the national spirit, calls on his compatriots to perpetuate the memory of the great spirit of the Kazakh people, which has developed over the centuries.

It is of great historiographical importance to analyze the history of Kazakhstan in a certain system, to highlight more reliable and scientifically valuable data. This was stated by the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev in 1992: «the main task, the most difficult task facing our nation now is to accurately determine the main course of formation and development of Kazakhstan as a sovereign state and work hard to achieve this goal as soon as possible»

In the work of N.A. Nazarbayev «On the wave of History», published in 1999, the foundations of Kazakhstan's statehood and the prerequisites for building a true national state are historically differentiated. The book consists of eight chapters covering different areas of life.
