Abstract

The article describes the characteristics of ceramic products found during excavations in medieval cities of South-Eastern Kazakhstan. The features of ceramic products found during excavations related to manufacturing technology and exterior decoration are considered. In addition, descriptions of the format, appearance, color of ceramic products, etc. are compiled. The characteristic of the method of manufacturing ceramic products and individual vessels made in the XI-XII centuries is given. Among them are kitchen and household utensils. The article will focus on these types of dishes, their basic typology will be developed and their drawings will be shown. During this period, he made a great contribution to the socio-economic and cultural development of society. In the manufacture of the product, raw materials of local origin were used. After the product was formatted, decoration and embossing work was carried out before firing. There are several ways to apply and decorate various patterns on the outside of the vessel, and this was carried out in stages. The fact that the technology of exterior decoration of ceramic products is very well developed in medieval cities can be found from the ceramic products found. To dwell separately on the types of ceramics in this region, to give a description, to determine what connections exist with neighboring medieval cities.
