Article is devoted to the review and the analysis of conflict situations on border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the Fergana Valley. It is noted that border disputes became aggravated at the beginning of the 90th of the 20th century after the collapse of the USSR and emergence of the independent states. Certain sites of border remain uncertain. Economic activity on disputed sites leads to the conflict. The process of localization and bursting of local conflicts is being analyzed in Batken and Sughd oblasts of two states, which promotes the prospects of development of mutual relations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. An attempt of determination of nature of the conflict and search of ways of its permission is made. In article the conflict situations which arose in the Fergana Valley during 2013-2015 are considered.
Authors note that border disputes and the conflicts caused by them can be solved only by efforts of both parties. Demarcation and delimitation of borders between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is a factor of ensuring sustainable development and safety of the states of Central Asia.
