This article discusses the external factors in the formation of the international political image of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China at the present stage. The interactions of the two countries and common tasks within the framework of international regional associations are analyzed. The article considers the latest understandings in this area at the present stage. Relations of partnership and strategic interaction between Kazakhstan and China, recognized by the parties as "relations of a new type", have accumulated significant experience in cooperation in various fields. Twenty-seven years of contacts that began after the declaration of independence of Kazakhstan provide rich material for research. 27 years of communication, cooperation in many areas give the right to pose other questions: what were the main problems the partners managed to solve? ... What should Kazakhstan do to get a greater effect from interaction with a partner developing its economy on a larger, more focused and faster pace? The above questions also require scientific reflection. Analysis of the achievement of mutually beneficial results makes it possible to consolidate the ways and means of achieving them. Identification of miscalculations allowed to prevent them from escalating into a problem, eliminate miscalculations in order to maintain and continue equal relations.
