Abstract

In this article, the author on the basis of archival materials covers the scale and consequences of the famine of the 1930s. The famine of 1930-1933 went down in history as the years of "great jute", the greatest tragedy of the Kazakh people. At the same time, it is obvious that the difficult situation developed in Kazakhstan in 1932-1933, rather than in other regions of the USSR. One of the main causes of the disaster in our country is: the consideration of the kulaks as a class, the hasty and exaggerated
consequences, and, in fact, the confiscation of cattle. In this article on concrete examples the serious condition and difficult destiny of street children, orphans, as a consequence of hunger in a number of areas of East Kazakhstan are considered.
