In this article about comprehensively analyzes the life, pedagogical and social activities of Dumagambetova Sandu Duimagambetovna of the first female rector the Guriev Pedagogical Institute (1919-2002), who made an invaluable contribution in the field of higher education of Atyrau region. S. D. Duimagambetova, as the head of the institute, successfully developed the institutes and faculties of education improvement established at the time, postgraduate studies, internships, worked competently on the system of scientific search and creative recreation, effectively planned to carry trips of teachers engaged in scientific activities.
The faculty and teaching staff under the leadership of Rector Duimagambetova S. D. has achieved great success in qualitative vocational and pedagogical training of future pedagogical personnel, formation of their scientific world view, comprehensive and deep arming of their profession, as well as in psycho-pedagogical training.
