It has been proved that Akhmet Baitursynov was generally recognized in Kazakh history not only as an educator. Along with educational work, he conducted research, reformed the alphabet and developed textbooks for Kazakh schools and did a great job for the spiritual development of the Kazakh people. The legacy of the scientist, which is still used today, should be appreciated. The article comprehensively proved that the legacy of A. Baitursynov did not remain over the past period of history, and also did not lose its relevance. Currently, the work of the scientist is used in scientific circles. It is shown that the Baitursynov alphabet is the basis of modern textbooks.
