The article examines the history of creation of a textbook that covers the soviet perspective on Kazakhstan's history by E. Bekmakhanov based on the analysis of archival materials, a collection of documents and materials, publications on pages of the Soviet and Kazakh periodicals, memoirs. The author studies the creation of textbooks on Kazakh history and the contribution of E. Bekmakhanov and the impact on the formation of a new historical concept.
