The article addresses a significant and contemporary issue - the study of the creative legacy of Raimzhan Marsekov. Despite the interest exhibited by the general public, historians, and social scientists in his life and work, the full extent of Marsekov's contributions and his role in the socio-political life of Kazakhstan remains insufficiently explored. His extensive scientific and cultural heritage as a scholar, jurist, and publicist warrants further examination. An analysis of his published scholarly works suggests that the issues he raised in periodicals have not been adequately developed in the academic discourse.

Within the pages of the « Qazaq» newspaper, Marsekov articulated his views on various matters, including land policy, governance, Kazakh literature, and the Kazakh language. The primary objective of his articles was to educate the Kazakh people on pressing issues such as the legally unjust resettlement policies of Tsarist Russia, the double standards in court decisions regarding Kazakhs, the true nature of the judicial system, and a comparative analysis of different governmental systems worldwide. Furthermore, he explored the nature of literature, its historical development among the Kazakhs, and its current state. Marsekov likened literature to a mirror, reflecting the customs and traditions of the people.

In his works, Marsekov was the first to propose a periodization of Kazakh literature, identifying three distinct stages in its evolution. He also emphasized the crucial importance of language, asserting that in order to preserve independence, the Kazakh people must relentlessly pursue education and cultural advancement. He believed that this pursuit should primarily focus on the development of literature in the native Kazakh language.
