The article comprehensively analyzes the journalism of the activist Alash Myrzagazy Espolov, who actively advocated for the national interests of the Kazakh people in the early ХХ century. The object of the research is his articles published in the newspapers "Kazak", "Ak Zhol" and the magazine "Sholpan", the journalistic legacy of which is considered in a political and historical context. The main purpose of the research is to determine the stages of formation, thematic areas and the role of Myrzagaza Espolov's journalism in the formation of public thought. In addition, the article analyzes Espolov's journalistic activities with chronological systematization and connection with his socio-political and state activities. The study determined that Myrzagazy Espolov's articles published in the newspaper "Kazak" in 1915-1917 highlighted such topical issues as land issues, social inequality, education, and the condition of Kazakh boys who were requisitioned for logistical work during the First World War. The article also examines Espolov's publications related to his activities in 1917 in the foreign department at Zemgor, and identifies the close relationship between his activities and published materials. Of particular interest is the scientifically based thesis on the pseudonyms of Myrzagazу Espolov, used by him when writing articles. An important part of the study is devoted to the period of Myrzagazy Espolov's activity in Tashkent. During this time, he published analytical articles on land and water issues, agrarian policy and livestock development, working in the system of the Turkestan People's Commissariat of Agriculture and the Turkestan Central Executive Committee. During this period, the official analytical character of his journalism intensified and the formation of the author's discourse was determined.
