The process of active participation of the international community in the processes of preserving cultural heritage, as a rule, dates back to the middle of the twentieth century. By cultural heritage we mean such spiritual values as cultural traditions, stable standards of behavior, moral norms, stereotypes of thinking, political, legal and philosophical ideas, aesthetic concepts. It is these traditions that form the historical roots of the modern life of the people and reflect its essence. Since the protection of historical and cultural heritage is a task not only on the territory of Kazakhstan, but also to all states, worldwide measures have been taken. One of them is the great authority of the UNESCO organization among the peoples of the world.  In order to protect cultural heritage, research strengthens spiritual culture. The purpose and objectives of the study are to study the importance of international organizations in the preservation of cultural heritage objects; to analyze the work of leading organizations under this program on current development trends; to determine the importance of historical and cultural heritage not only on the state side, but also in the world. Results. The article discusses the importance of organizations that raise the issues of protection of historical and cultural heritage, which is a common value around the world, the analysis of this topic is a requirement of modern science. This study is determined by spiritual, social, political and ideological factors. Conclusion. At the present stage, an important role in the system of preservation of cultural heritage is played by the organization of UNESCO, as well as international non-governmental organizations that determine cultural and professional standards in the practice of protecting attractions.
