Abstract

As a result of the policy of the totalitarian system in Soviet times, many nationalities were deported to the Kazakh land against their will. Forced deportation of innocent nationalities from their places of residence became an integral part of Stalin's repressions. In various resolutions and documents adopted in the Soviet country, many nationalities were forcibly deported to the republic against their will in order to clean up the border territories. They were subjected to various social and legal pressures and became victims of Stalinist repressions for many years. Among the many nationalities deported against their will were Greeks, considered in our study. The normal and peaceful life conditions of the deported Greeks have changed.

Studying the history of deported Greeks, it is important to study the truth distorted by the tyrannical policy of the Soviet government from a new point of view. Most of the post-war deported Greeks, deported in several waves, were relocated to the territory of the Turkestan Territory. The article examines the complex life and social and household conditions of Greeks deported to the Turkestan region in the 30s and 40s of the last century, during the period of their adaptation to a new place. In addition, on the basis of the memories of the Greeks deported to the Turkestan region and the territory of the Republic of Greece and their descendants, the course of their deportation, the Soviet policy towards unreliable peoples, and the conditions of their adaptation at the place of resettlement are covered.
