Abstract. This research article describes the research work of Abusagit Zhirenshin on books printed at different periods related to the history of the Kazakh people and the work of printing houses that were engaged in their publication. Kazakh books published in the 19th-20th centuries related to the history of Kazakhstan are a very important issue for historical science. The study examines the work of Abusagit Zhirenshin, who collected and systematized Kazakh books, archival data related to printing, collection materials and such valuable works. It is clear that the hero Abusagit Zhirenshin went on various trips to collect books related to the history of the Kazakh people, went on ethnographic expeditions around the country, collected valuable documentary materials and brought them into scientific circulation. This work is valuable because it was the first to be published on the history of Kazakh books. A key feature of this study is that it provides information about the ancient script, literature, and rich culture of the peoples of Central Asia, as well as when and where Kazakh books were published between 1800 and 1917 in Russia and Kazakhstan, who published them, and who collected and authored the written heritage. Therefore, examining the history of Kazakh books in connection with the work of Abusagit Zhirenshin is a highly relevant issue.
