Conducting objective and specific historical research on the life and state activities of Kazakh batyrs in the foreign policy activities of the Kazakh Khanate of the XVIII century is an urgent issue. The research paper examines the historical role of the Kazakh batyrs, which contributed to the world recognition of the military art of Khan Abylai, the military and diplomatic activities of the reliable sardar of Abylai, Kozhabergen batyr Zhanibekuly. Writing the article will allow us to draw scientific conclusions about the foreign policy activities of the batyrs in solving the historical fate of the Kazakh people, the foreign policy of the Kazakh Khanate in relation to large empires and other peoples of Eurasia of that period. Unfortunately, to this day this issue has not been given an objective and scientific historical assessment. Therefore, this research article opens the way to the accumulation of new historical knowledge about the heroic path and unexplored stages of the batyrs' diplomatic activities. The article analyzes historical records of the military and diplomatic activities of Kozhabergen Batyr Zhanibekuly, who holds a significant place in the military and political history of the Kazakh people. The study examines his heroic efforts in defending the homeland, his leadership in organizing resistance against the Dzungar invasion, and his contributions to strengthening the unity of the Kazakh zhuzes (tribal confederations). In addition, the article describes his peaceful negotiations and diplomatic missions with neighboring states based on historical sources. The author aims to present Kozhabergen Batyr not only as a military commander but also as a visionary statesman and diplomat. The research findings provide a comprehensive view of the batyr’s role in preserving national unity and consolidating Kazakh statehood.
