The article will analyze the works of S. Amanzholov devoted to the history of the origin of the Turkic peoples. The authors of the article analyzed and evaluated S. Amanzholov's views on the origin and development of the Turkic tribes, as well as conducted a study of the scientist's works on the ethnogenesis of the Kazakh people. The opinions of S. Amanzholov on the works of scientists who studied the history of the Turkic peoples before him are analyzed in detail. It will also tell about the activities of S. Amanzholov during the Great Patriotic War, when he worked as a political leader and helped translate for Turkic-speaking military personnel.
