Young students of Kazakhstan are growing up in an environment of difficult choice of political values, life preferences and ideals. Therefore, the study of the mechanisms of formation of the younger generation in the conditions of transformation of socio-political relations by studying the features of political culture is significant in terms of solving the problems of state youth policy in Kazakhstan. This article identifies the main factors that affect the political consciousness and behavior of schoolchildren in modern society. The analysis of students'awareness of politics, political events taking place in the country and the world, the political course, the nature of socio-political priorities, the level of socio-political activity of students' participation in youth organizations, which is based on the results of a questionnaire survey of students in grades 11 in Almaty.
