the paper discusses the pseudonym and author's name of a representative of the Kazakh intelligentsia from the first half of the twentieth century, a talented publicist and public figure Zhanuzak Zhanibekov. The study revealed that Zhanuzak Zhanibekov is the author of "Balalar baduami" published in 1909 as well as the collection "Aina" and "Zhumbaktar men makaldar" published in Kazan in 1908. Scientific evidence provided in the paper proves that the names on the cover of the books "Zhanibekov" and "G. Zhanibekov" belong to Zhanuzak Alzhanuly Zhanibekov. It is studied that the owner of the pseudonym at the end of the article "Attan, Alash azamaty" published in the newspaper "Kazakh" No. 262 from 1918 is also Zhanuzak Zhanibekov.
