In this article, the author, using widely the materials of the multivolume essay "Turkestan Collection" stored in a single copy in the city of Tashkent, could in a detailed plan provide a real historical picture of the past, activities, household, culture and life, family and household characteristics, national character , morals and spiritual and moral values, and ideals of nomadic Kazakhs. Important for science are the materials concentrated in the Turkestan Digest, which reveal the behavior of the colonial administration in the territories conquered and annexed to Russia, the relations of the Russian population with local residents, the noble activity in Turkestan of the advanced Russian intelligentsia to develop the productive forces of the region, the spread of education, the study of history, culture of the Central Asian peoples. Everything that was reflected in the press at one time is collected in the Turkestan Collection.
