In the article, the author examines the history of political repressions of the 30-50s of the twentieth century in Kazakhstan on the basis of specific facts and examples. The security forces and the judiciary failed to look justice in the eyes. For it is completely impossible to expose thousands and thousands of “enemies of the people”, alashorda supporters, and foreign agents within a week, even a month. We must not only identify, but also condemn two types of serious crime: the first is the criminal prosecution of an entire dynasty, the second is the merciless destruction of the family.
The purpose of the article is to document the tragedy of both the entire society, and individual dynasties, incl. women and children. The author of the article, revealing the tragic pages of the Zhurgenov, Kalmenov, and Birimzhanov dynasties, came to the conclusion that political repression was carried out on a planned basis.
