Abstract

The process of a serious rethinking of the gender history of the Great Patriotic War has led to the fact that over the past twenty years a significant number of works have appeared in Russian historiography, to one degree or another which considering changes in the gender order in the pre-war and war periods.The article presents an analysis of the current stage of Russian historiography of the gender history of the Great Patriotic War.The article considers the works published in the 2000s, devoted to the Soviet practices of gender mythmaking and changes in the country's gender order, the phenomenon of mass mobilization of women and little-studied problems related to living conditions, behavioral psychology and relationships between military men and women.
