Over the years of independence, the attitude towards the Alash movement has changed its forgotten character due to Soviet public relations and has risen to the level of national ideology. The works of Alash figures are evaluated in a new way and occupy a worthy place in the minds of the last generation of researchers. The article is devoted to the study of the activities of the Alash movement in the history of Kazakhstan, the Alash political party and the government of Alashorda in Northern Kazakhstan. To characterize the figures of the Alash political movement in the region by concrete examples, starting with their participation in the movement and ending with the rise to the fighting level. For example, until now, the combative nature of the Alash movement has not been fully disclosed. There are even comments such as: «the government of Alashorda has not been published, the program of the political party has not entered into concrete actions». In particular, the names of Alashorda figures in Northern Kazakhstan and biographical data occupy an important place. There are a number of scientific achievements achieved by historians of Kazakhstan. In the article we tried to show that, adhering to the principles of historicity and objectivity, social phenomena, no matter how complex they may be, unfold in inseparable unity with other events that our country has experienced. Criticizing the research published in Soviet times, we tried to restore historical reality on the basis of a new methodology, without being exposed to the cold of outdated views in historiography. Therefore, we used new sources to assess the history of the Alash movement, including phenomena in the northern region. We must show that the information capabilities of these sources have not always been exhaustive.
