Abstract

The article proposes to explore the role of the detective genre in Kazakh literature, the formation of the writer's path of the famous writer and outstanding writer Kemel Tokayev, his merits in promoting journalism to the professional level, his edifying life. Kemel Tokayev-thanks to his outstanding talent and professionalism in Kazakh literature, combining translation and journalism, laid the foundations of the detective genre in the field of prose. His creative career began from his student years with work as a correspondent in various newspapers, in republican publications and was elevated to the rank of responsible editor. He remained in the Kazakh press as a person engaged in business. The life of Soviet policemen became the main theme of the writer, journalist Kemel Tokayev. His works written in the detective genre have gained popularity not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad. Therefore, he can be called the founder of the Kazakh «detective» industry, a writer who raises this sphere to a high level. The results of the research conducted in the direction of «historical personality», «historical personality», concerning creativity and creative life of the individual, are considered in detail in the article and specific information is presented. At the same time, in relation to K. Tokayev, the memoirs of contemporaries on the pages of the press, memoirs and individual studies are generalized and systematized.
