In the theoretical part of the article, the etymology and meaning of the term catacomb are discussed, information about catacomb burials dating back to the early period in the Eurasian steppes is given. Due to the fact that the catacombs in the myntobe burial ground belong to the kangly period and, according to historical data, the regions where the burial ground is located were inhabited by the kangly tribes, the culture and burial traditions of this tribe were touched upon. After that, the catacomb tombs found in Myntobe, along with the burial tradition, were considered as a whole. It is noted that there is a difference in similarity between the catacomb burial in the burial No. 3, which was excavated in 2017, and the catacomb burial in 2022.In particular, burials were carried out in a catacomb grave every two plagues. But if a collective burial was carried out in the catacomb of plague No. 3, then a single skeleton was buried in the catacomb of plague No. 7. And in plague No. 3, afterlife spreads are placed on the heads of skeletons or on new ones, in plague No. 7 they are placed on the surface of the earth lying under the mound outside the grave. This circumstance made it possible to assume that in the myntobe burial ground there are burials of different periods belonging to representatives of different faiths. In order to determine the structure and type of the tomb, a classification developed by A. N. Podushkin is given. According to this, it is established that the tombs in Myntobe are catacombs of the "T" type. In order to conduct a comparative analysis, catacomb tombs in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan were taken as a basis. The conclusion is also given predictive conclusions related to the topic.
