The article deals with the position of the Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia as the main epicenter of the attraction of immigrants and the active creation of ethnic communities. It is also devoted to the study of the Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia after the transition of China to the reforms of openness and their impact on the formation of a peaceful environment in the countries of the region. The role of Chinese diasporas and Chinese business in the region's economy including the main areas of economic activity of ethnic Chinese companies are taken into account. The economic prosperity of a number of Southeast Asian countries nicknamed "Asian tigers" were largely due to the active activity of local Chinese diasporas. China is developing relationships with Chinese organizations around the world urging huaqiao to expand ties between their historical homeland and developing countries.
