The article is devoted to the history of the formation of the archaeological collection of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter CSM RK) in Almaty. The collection of the Orenburg Museum, founded by the Orenburg military governor, Adjutant General Count Pavel Petrovich Sukhtelen in 1831, played a large role in the collection. The article provides information about archaeological expeditions that replenished the funds of the Central State Museum. Archival and accounting documents are considered, publications of archaeologists who studied the monuments of the Bronze Age of the Eurasian steppe belt are analyzed. Within the framework of the proposed article, a special place in the study of the economy, culture, worldview, way of life, social formation of ethnic associations is given to artifacts of important archaeological sites consisting of settlements and necropolises: Atasu, Myrzhyk, Akmustafa, Sangur, Begazy, Akmaya, Aksu-Ayuly, Shortandy Bulak and Bugyly I, II, etc., an analysis of stone tools that are part of the Bronze Age collection of Central Kazakhstan, formed in the archeology fund of the CSM RK, will be carried out.
