The article considered the artistic concepts of historical figures in the Kazakh historical novels of the XX century.

Artistic concepts of historical figures in Kazakh historical novels of the twentieth century were studied, comparative historical studies were carried out on the features of the history of the Golden Horde and author's concepts about historical figures of that era. Based on the concepts of historical figures of the Golden Horde ERA in the historical novels of I. Yesenberlin, the level of artistic mixtures of historical reality and fiction is determined. It was noted that the author's views, especially the image of historical figures, became active in the context of changing historical and socio-cultural paradigms. The relevance value of the concept of the historical period and historical figures is determined. The scientific novelty of the study is the identification of changes in artistic and historical discourse in the author's concepts of the Golden Horde ERA in the multifaceted artistic materials of historical novelistics of the twentieth century.A systematic and comparative analysis of the Golden Horde era and the concept of historical figures of that time, which played an important role in the formation of Kazakh statehood, revealed the relevance of the results obtained:Comparative-historical studies of the artistic features of author's concepts related to the history and historical figures of the Golden Horde era were conducted on the basis of historical novels of the XX century;
