This article discusses the history of the formation of a regional community based on the national economy in Southeast Asia in the 60s of the twentieth century. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, established at that time, was the result of their political and economic ties. The article analyzes the mutual economic, social and political processes of this community, as well as in the field of education. For example, after the war, the countries that gained independence began to unite in political associations and organizations: the Asian Production Commission, the Asian Development Bank, the Asian Economic Development Organization, and others. After that, these organizations rose to the regional level. Their main goal is to develop cooperation in the field of science, education and culture in the region.
