In this article, an attempt is made to find connections and transitions of ornaments from one cultural layer to another, since ethnic and cultural relationships of peoples also affect the field of art and are reflected in the ornament. Consideration of ornamental art took place on the basis of a number of states that existed on the territory adjacent to the territory of modern Kazakhstan, as well as considering time periods. The main idea of the article is an attempt to show how the art of neighboring countries in different time periods influenced the formation of ornamental art in the territory of Kazakhstan.
