The article deals with the question of how directions and possibilities of cartography are considered in the lesson, and the significance of historical monuments of Zhetysus region. The great potential of using cartography tasks by foreign researchers is noted. The technology of using cartography during lessons at school in some cases allows to establish connections between different phenomena, to reveal an alternative point of view. Researchers are trying to find the best tools and opportunities for working with cartographic tasks at school, adapting them to the specifics of historical research. In addition, cartographic problems were differentiated and analyzed in school lessons on the monuments of Zhetysus region. During the school education, when explaining the monuments of the Zhetysu region to students, cartographic issues were fully disclosed and considered.
