Kyrgyzstan, like all Soviet republics, has lived for more than 70 years under a totalitarian-atheistic model of state-religious relations, where religion had no place in society. After the collapse of the USSR and the collapse of communist ideology, the country is undergoing a dynamic process of institutionalization of Muslim communities, which remains poorly understood. The purpose of the article is to study the process of formation and development of institutions of the Muslim community in Kyrgyzstan. The article examines the processes of design of the Muslim infrastructure, how in a short time mosques turned from forbidden ones into centers of spiritual attraction for Muslims. The issues of changing the appearance of villages and cities, the formation of standards for the halal industry, Muslim fashion, ending with everyday items are highlighted. It was revealed that along with the socialization of children according to Sharia, there was an awakening of Muslim identity, which led to the search for support for their interests in politics, economics, and society. The study of this problem increases the predictability of the development of circumstances and prevents the risks of conflict in the context of the growing politicization of the Muslim community in Kyrgyzstan.
