One of the major peasant uprisings that took place in Kazakhstan against the policies of the Soviet government was the Sozak Uprising. The Sozak Uprising of 1930 was an uprising of ruthlessly exploited masses seeking violent freedom, which attracted the arbitrariness of the Soviet system to the maximum. This uprising entered the stage of history as a public protest against the serious consequences of collectivization and forced settlement. The Sozak uprising is not only an event of a regional nature, it reflected the contradictions of the left-wing politics of that time, that is, Soviet agrarian policy. The proposed article examines the study of the historical significance and significance of the uprising, its analysis, and understanding of the political and social situation at that time. The formation of the historical consciousness of students in the process of learning about this event is a reflection of local history as an integral part of national history. The article presents a population census, a livestock census related to the Sozak district. Decisions on confiscation of property are also indicated.
