Abstract

The article explores Jadidism as a social and educational movement that emerged in the late 19th century within the Turkic-Muslim regions of the Russian Empire and its influence on modern political thought in Central Asia, particularly in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Jadidism, which advocated for the integration of traditional values with the need for socio-political reforms, played a significant role in transforming the political system and fostering national consciousness. This study examines the historical, cultural, and social dimensions of Jadidism, with an emphasis on its role in modernizing society, shaping national identity, and introducing democratic principles.

Through the use of interdisciplinary methods, including historical and chronological analysis and a cultural approach, the author investigates the key stages in the development of Jadidism and its lasting impact on the political and cultural life of the region. Additionally, the paper explores contemporary expressions of Jadidism in the strategic policies of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, proposing possible scenarios for their future development. The study highlights the relevance of Jadidism in addressing contemporary global and regional challenges, underscoring its potential to enhance the effectiveness of state strategies and contribute to the sustainable development of both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
