The article analyzes the content of the newspaper "Food Week". Although archival materials on socio-economic relations of Semipalatinsk have been preserved in sufficient quantity, which is confirmed by the availability of appropriate funds on the subject of rexisting subjectivist claims reflecting the political and ideological priorities of state policy, the press, as a tool for structuring and servicing public opinion, serves as an information service for economic activity in the field of entrepreneurship, a social indicator, a guideline and a pulse for establishing public opinion formation in society. Local newspapers devoted an extensive part of the spread to the content transmitted by the Petrograd Telegraph Agency, although the rest was devoted to the socio-economic life of the region.
