The article describes the problems of teaching the history of the national liberation movement in the XVIII-XIX centuries. The history of the national liberation movement is a holistic process. The role of the history of the national liberation movement is closely intertwined with the national, socio-economic, political and spiritual formation of the Kazakh people and its role is very great.
It is known that teaching history plays an important role not only in providing comprehensive knowledge, but also in fostering patriotic qualities in schoolchildren. In particular, to tell the history of national liberation movements in the 18th-19th centuries, to explain to the younger generation the anti-colonial nature and historical significance of national liberation uprisings, to assess the exploits of historical figures and participants, to orient research, the movement of leaders, the use of methodological techniques of the uprising, etc. types of jobs.
