This article discusses visual data on the topic of family history at the beginning of the twentieth century. The specifics, informativeness of these data, as well as the identification of data opportunities and intelligence in the formation of family history and historical memory of the country as a whole. Generalization by characterizing the visual data of family history at the beginning of the twentieth century, by analyzing the purpose, philosophy of family representation. In the visual data of family history, the emphasis was placed on the level of influence of historical periods on family life, on the peculiarities of new behavior and behavior based on the adaptation of family members to historical conditions by understanding the aspects of traditions, mentality, gender within the family, kinship ties and relationships.
