The article analyzes the historical and ethnographic data of the «zhoktau» (mourning) "Kenesary-Nauryzbai" extracted from the "23 zhoktau" published in the printing house "Kunshygys" in Moscow in 1926 by Ahmed Baitursynov and Alikhan Bokeikhan. The zhoktau describes data concerning the political management of Kenesary Khan, types of weapons, Kazakh society and human values of that time, and analyzes specific historical and ethnographic facts.
