IRAN'S “SOFT POWER” POLICY IN CENTRAL ASIA: ON THE EXAMPLE OF KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract

This article will examine the "soft power" policy of Iran in Central Asia: the example of Kazakhstan, the degree of its spread and impact on Kazakhstan. The authors of the article will consider the cultural interaction of Iran and Kazakhstan as a whole and the establishment of the “soft power” policy of Iran in independent Kazakhstan, as well as the features of its conduct. The role of the Persian language, common traditions, customs, and history will also be shown as the basis for expanding relations between the two countries not only in the field of culture, but also interconnections as a whole. Issues of development of relations between Kazakhstan and Iran in the field of science and education will be touched upon if they exist. The foreign policy activity of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of culture will be briefly analyzed and, an assessment of the chances of Iran using the existing opportunities in the Republic of Kazakhstan will be given in this regard, as well as recommendations for improving relations between the two sides in the field of culture.
